Prosource acquires tech company
Business technology solutions company Prosource acquired PBSI Technology Solutions, an established technology services company based in Springdale, Ohio, specializing in voice, data, and security solutions. Through the acquisition, Prosource will integrate PBSI’s capabilities in structured cabling, telecommunications services and consulting, security and surveillance equipment into their business tech portfolio.
Stem cell treatments for MS
Researchers at the University of Cincinnati are studying the safety and effectiveness of stem cell transplant therapy in treatments for the auto-immune disease multiple sclerosis (MS). Lead researcher Tahir Latif says that he hopes the clinical trials will show that autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (AHSCT) is safe and a better alternative to traditional MS treatments that can last a lifetime.
AquiSense partners with Rainstick
At CES 2022, Rainstick was the Best of Innovation Award Winner in the Smart Home Category for its circular shower solutions. With this tech, instead of going down the drain, water is captured, circulated, and cleaned, all in real time to avoid waste. Cincy company AquiSense Technologies has partnered with Rainstick to provide its ultraviolet light-emitting diode (UV LED) module for water treatment.
Payload hits pay dirt
Payload, a fintech platform designed for ease of funds-transfer across multiple industries, launched its real estate specific platform, Keybox, in 2020 to digitize agent invoicing, broker/agent commissions, title closing disbursements, title and mortgage fees, and rental/property management fees. In 2021, Payload’s Keybox processed $300 million in real estate transactions and anticipates approaching the $1 billion mark for real estate transactions processed by end of 2022, according to a press release.
