UC student gets grant for brain tumor research

A second-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati, has received grant funding for an ongoing collaborative brain tumor research project. The grant was awarded to Rohan Rao for his summer research project on treatment for glioblastomas, highly malignant and deadly brain tumors.

Cincy Chamber gets $1.5 million grant

The Minority Business Accelerator, the flagship minority business and economic inclusion initiative of The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, has received a $1.5 million grant from The U.S. Economic Development Administration as part of its recent investments to support programs that fuel innovation and tech-based economic development.

GE Aviation’s next step with diversity 

GE Aviation announced the next stage in the rollout of diversity program Next Engineers — a five-year, $5 million investment that GE is bringing to Cincinnati through a partnership with the University of Cincinnati. Next Engineers is supported by a $100 million commitment from the GE Foundation, which has teamed up with FHI 360 to develop the program framework.
