AFVentures program participants selected
Refinery Ventures–along with a16z, Lux Capital, Anduril, General Catalyst, and NEA—has announced their selection for the United States Air Force Ventures (AFVentures) program. This will be a six-week-long immersive upskilling fellowship in which two future senior military leaders will collaborate with Refinery Ventures on its portfolio and help bridge the divide between commercial industry and the U.S. Government.
Clarigent Health: a tool for ID’ing patients at risk of suicide
Health tech startup Clarigent Health, which has been developing an app-based tool that can help clinicians identify patients at risk of suicide, has received a Small Business Innovation Research grant from the National Institute of Health to help it eliminate AI bias on its platforms. Good news for transplant patients
A new study led by the University of Cincinnati indicates that long-term use of immunosuppressive medication used by kidney transplant patients may not be necessary, at least in the low-to-moderate risk category.
Kroger invests in startups
