CinCor’s $143M funding round
CinCor has completed a $143 million Series B financing round, which will support the continued development of a treatment for hypertension, primary aldosteronism, and chronic kidney disease. The financing was led by General Atlantic, with participation from new investors Perceptive Advisors, BVF Partners, venBio Partners, Adage Capital Management, Omega Funds, Rock Springs Capital, RTW Investments, Lilly Asia Ventures, and Sixty Degree Capital.
UC to build criminal sentence database
Officials from the Ohio Supreme Court and the University of Cincinnati have entered into an $800,000 agreement for the school to build a database of criminal sentences imposed by trial judges across the state. Once it’s finished, people will be able to search the database to identify trends in arrest records.
Blue Water Vaccines files for IPO
Blue Water Vaccines, Inc. has filed plans with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an IPO. In the filing, the company listed $24 million as the proposed maximum offering size.
Grape ID and LISNR partnership
LISNR announced a partnership with Grape ID, a digital passport for consumers and businesses. Previously Grape ID™ made use of QR codes to initiate transactions. LISNR’s ultrasonic technology will allow users to log in to websites, return car rentals, prove identity to a bank teller and any other Grape ID transaction where two users have a mic and speaker.
