The Sandbox NKU celebrated the opening of The Sandbox, which will be an innovation lab and home to eSports, a new varsity sports program for students to compete in live video game events like Madden NFL or Rocket League. gBETA Cincy deadline this Friday gBETA, a program of gener8tor, is a free, 7-week accelerator program for early-stage companies. OCEAN accelerator The 2021 accelerator class at Cincy-based OCEAN Programs, the hybrid virtual/onsite accelerator program that incorporates workshops on launching and funding a business, is being backed by 11 Tribes. Ultrasonic Boarding Solution LISNR has launched its ultrasonic boarding solution with Shuttl, India’s largest office commute service provider. LISNR’s software enables “Person Present” authentication and verification for transactions across mobility and retail commerce experiences. Help for preterm babies The FDA has accepted Airway Therapeutics New Drug application for developing a preventive treatment for the respiratory disease BPD that occurs in very preterm babies. Contactless payments for the Reds The Cincinnati Reds have announced a multi-year partnership with global payment ecosystem Tappit, which will allow the Great American Ball Park to implement contactless mobile payments.
