COVID tech Cincy’s Bayzi Corporation has developed and is manufacturing antimicrobial steam devices that will very quickly eliminate microbes and bugs and also provide a quick way to clean dust and grease. The technology can also be used to fight the spread of viruses like SARS-CoV-2. Private equity firm raises $27M A new private equity firm called Claymore Capital Partners has raised $27 million (from 24 investors) in the first two weeks of fundraising. Claymore is looking to raise $100 million to $150 million. NKU grad to compete for $1.5 million in funding and resources An NKU graduate student is heading to one of the most prominent business pitch competitions around the world—the Rice Business Plan Competition hosted by Rice University. Isaiah Kelly earned a bid to the competition, where 54 student-led startups compete for $1.5 million in funding and resources. He is the first student in NKU’s history to qualify for the event. Smart food packaging Cincy’s packaging leader ProAmpac has partnered with the Clemson University Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences to support the company’s commitment to leading the industry in developing smart food packaging. Women in leadership Business & Individual Development (BID) will host “Women in Leadership - Now That You Have a Seat at the Table,” on March 31, 2021. Five panelists will share their experiences as women in leadership followed by 30 minutes of networking. Share these stories!
