Kurome Therapeutics raises $15M in funding

Kurome Therapeutics closed on a $15 million series A financing round. The round was co-led by Medicxi and Affinity Asset Advisors, with participation from founding investor CincyTech and other existing seed investors. The fund will go toward developing therapies that target adaptive resistance mechanisms in cancer cells.

STACK makes an acquisition

STACK Construction Technologies has acquired SmartUse Solutions, Inc. to extend the reach of its existing cloud-based collaborative platform for the construction industry. SmartUse Solution's software allows document viewing, markup and collaboration in the field.

Health leaders will come to Cincy for summit

Cincinnati will host health care leaders from around the world this fall at the 2021 Advancing Healthcare Innovation Summit (AHIS). The networking conference will highlight innovation in wearables, implants and AI.

Web development training program

To meet the growing demand for web developers, Northern Kentucky, in a partnership with United Way of Greater Cincinnati, is offering a 16-week training course to prepare people for careers as junior web developers. The training will be offered at little to no cost to those who are eligible, including many individuals who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

Rev1's $20M infusion

Rev1 Ventures has received a $20 million infusion from some of central Ohio’s largest companies. The Rev1 Fund II will be used to provide capital and strategic advice to startups in digital health, healthcare IT, HR tech, fintech, insurtech, data analytics, enterprise SaaS and the life sciences sector.
